About the Project
Pilgrima is a logistics management app built to support large-scale Hajj operations in Mina. Designed for agencies handling millions of pilgrims, the platform includes advanced features like smart plot booking, geo-based filters, and task coordination tools—all tailored to streamline accommodation workflows and crowd management during the Hajj season.
Problems
Managing real-time updates, language-specific interfaces, and geo-mapped capacity assignments across large teams created frequent breakdowns in coordination. Traditional offline workflows made digital adoption especially difficult.
Challenge
We had to design an intuitive system that worked across Arabic and English, balanced tech complexity with operational clarity, and functioned equally well across mobile and desktop, all within a short delivery cycle.
Solution
We designed a tabbed, multi-view interface with clear state changes, color-coded plot indicators, and live collaboration features. Feedback tools and project management layers were integrated for smoother coordination during critical moments.
Style Guide
A flexible color system was developed for visual hierarchy across modules like mapping, forms, and status tags. Typefaces were selected for legibility in dual scripts, ensuring accessibility and consistency.
Icons & Illustrations
We created custom icons and illustrations to match Pilgrima’s niche use cases. Off-the-shelf sets lacked contextual relevance, so each visual element was purpose-built for clarity and speed of recognition.
8 Design Versions
The final output included eight fully optimized versions: dark and light modes, Arabic and English localizations, and device-specific layouts for both mobile and desktop. Each version was crafted to meet real-time demands while staying accessible to every user group.
