About the Project

Rendivo is a mobile application built for high-end property rentals, offering a premium experience for users seeking luxury stays with convenience and trust. The app was envisioned as a full-service digital concierge, not just a rental platform. Muse Creatives was brought in to design this experience from the ground up, building a sleek, scalable product that balanced function and refinement. Our goal was to deliver a product that matched the lifestyle of high-end travelers by prioritizing personalization, ease, and service accessibility throughout the entire journey.

Problems

The early version of the app lacked the depth and polish expected by luxury-focused users. Despite offering premium listings, the platform missed crucial expectations around service integration, communication, and usability. Users couldn’t book services like cleaning or transport directly from the app, leading to fragmented experiences. There was also no multilingual communication support, which created friction for international travelers. Visually, the UI lacked consistency and failed to evoke a luxury brand feel, resulting in reduced engagement and confidence.

Challenges

We needed to craft a digital experience that delivered elegance, efficiency, and emotional trust. The main challenge was integrating multiple lifestyle services, like laundry, private transfer, multilingual support without complicating the user flow. Everything had to feel effortless. The system also needed to cater to both high-frequency travelers and occasional users, requiring a user journey that was both robust and welcoming. Maintaining simplicity while layering in premium service interactions required meticulous UX planning and clear design logic.

Solutions

Our design approach was rooted in clarity, logic, and a deep understanding of user behavior. We began by embedding essential features such as multilingual communication, downloadable invoices, and service add-ons directly into the core journey. Personalization and premium flow were not treated as extras, they were built into the design DNA. Through customer journey mapping, user interviews, and UI restructuring, we created a cohesive mobile experience that delivered luxury-level confidence from onboarding to checkout.

Discover Phase

To shape the right direction, we started with foundational research. We explored luxury service design patterns, studied competitor apps, and interviewed potential users to understand their expectations. The focus was on discovering not just what users wanted, but what they assumed a premium app should already provide. These early discoveries helped identify feature gaps and set our tone of voice and design strategy moving forward.

Surveys & Insights

As part of our discovery phase, we gathered quantifiable data through surveys and interviews. These findings were crucial in shaping the product’s feature set and prioritizing usability decisions.

  • 92% of users expected add-on services like cleaning, parking, and food delivery to be included or easily accessible.

  • 78% wanted the ability to download invoices for business or reimbursement purposes.

  • 85% valued the ability to communicate in their preferred language when interacting with hosts.

This feedback validated our decision to focus on in-app service booking, multilingual options, and streamlined utility access.

Jobs to Be Done

Using the Jobs to Be Done framework, we mapped user needs into contextual motivations. We explored when, why, and how users interacted with similar apps and identified pain points in their current journeys. This approach helped reveal hidden motivations, such as the desire for seamless control over one’s stay, and guided how we structured future flows. It was especially useful for shaping onboarding, service discovery, and checkout experiences around meaningful user goals.

Competitor Analysis

We performed a deep dive into other luxury rental apps, analyzing their UI patterns, strengths, and weaknesses. Most competitors either focused heavily on listing visuals or overcomplicated the booking process with too many steps. Our goal was to take the best practices, like trust-building through clear CTAs and minimal interfaces, while avoiding design bloat and redundancy. The research informed both our UX and branding decisions, ensuring Rendivo stood out while delivering a better experience.

Define Phase

With all initial research synthesized, we transitioned into defining the product’s architecture and flow. We translated user needs into actionable features and prioritized clarity over feature overload. Every interaction was mapped to user expectations, with a particular focus on simplifying decision points during the booking flow. These insights helped us define the app’s core functionality and laid the groundwork for a seamless navigation structure.

Information Architecture

The first major step in structuring the experience was refining the information architecture. We mapped out all primary and secondary interactions, ensuring no service or feature was buried or confusing to find. Particular attention was given to service selection, booking steps, and communication tools, all of which needed to feel instantly accessible without crowding the interface.

Customer Journey Mapping

We then built a journey map that followed a user from first login to final confirmation. Emotional cues were integrated at key moments, like selecting a luxury apartment or confirming a service. This ensured that every screen not only functioned well but felt intuitive and elevated. Pain points were turned into design opportunities, such as reducing steps in booking and adding contextual prompts during service selections.

Develop Phase

In this phase, we transformed the insights from research into visual wireframes and core design elements. We began with low-fidelity wireframes to structure the journey, emphasizing navigation, hierarchy, and content spacing. Every element was refined with a focus on clarity and elegance. This groundwork ensured that the design could scale without compromising user flow or visual harmony.

UI Design

Once structure was locked, we moved to high-fidelity mockups. These designs introduced the final visual language, using sleek typography, clean layouts, and refined components. The onboarding experience was a priority. Each screen was carefully crafted to introduce core benefits, like secure rentals, seamless service integration, and premium responsiveness, without overwhelming the user.

Deliver Phase

The final design stage was all about refinement and validation. We conducted multiple rounds of usability testing to ensure real users could navigate effortlessly through search, booking, and messaging. Heuristic evaluations helped spot potential UX gaps early. Alongside testing, we built a comprehensive UI kit, containing buttons, colors, iconography, and layout rules, to guarantee consistency across future updates.

Usability Testing

During testing, participants were able to complete key tasks, like booking a stay or ordering additional services, with minimal assistance. Feedback highlighted the clarity of interactions and the ease of accessing information. Adjustments were made based on insights to further optimize content alignment, button placements, and transition effects. The experience was ultimately deemed smooth and intuitive by a luxury-conscious user base.

UI Kit

We finalized the case with a full design system covering visual standards, components, and scalable design tokens. This UI Kit defined everything from the typography system to button styles and spacing rules. It empowered the Rendivo team to roll out updates with visual consistency while retaining the polish and professionalism of a luxury brand.
